The Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructure (POSI)

POSI “offers a set of guidelines by which open scholarly infrastructure organisations and initiatives that support the research community can be run and sustained”. ●      Coverage across the scholarly enterprise, being inclusive to a broad range of academic disciplines, geographies, institutions, and actors;
●      Stakeholder governed_, since this “builds confidence that the organisation will take decisions driven by community consensus and a balance of interests”;
●      Transparent governance, since this helps build and maintain trust in the community; and
●      Incentives to fulfill mission, particularly that “organisations and services should regularly review community support and the need for their activities”.
